Do I have poorer reception or slower internet with the eSIM?

Basically, it has no influence on reception or internet speed whether you use an eSIM or a physical SIM card. Some users observe a poorer signal strength in their smartphone's status bar when a physical SIM has been converted to an eSIM for dual SIM use (e.g. to use an iPhone as a dual SIM device).

This effect can occur because both SIMs share the antenna of the smartphone and therefore (to avoid interference) access different frequency bands of the mobile phone provider. The frequency bands differ slightly in signal range and transmission rate. However, the difference is usually no more than 10% and does not noticeably affect the user experience.

If only one eSIM is used (single SIM configuration) and this has been installed correctly, this effect does not usually occur.
